Character & Striving for Excellence
Character or good character is a simple word that makes a huge statement about an individual.
The six pillars of character are: integrity, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and community. I believe that these pillars are a part of the construct of professionalism while striving for excellence is the foundation. When an individual strives for excellence he/she uses all the tools at his/her disposal to do the very best job possible, to render the best possible result, to do better today than yesterday, to leave things better than they were when they found them and they apply this tenant to every aspect and every situation within their sphere of influence.
